The lawsuit alleges that Delhaize America, LLC and Food Lion, LLC include extraneous information in the Background Check Authorization forms and failed to provide notice before taking adverse employment action based on the background checks in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Individuals who were the subject of employment background reports issued between March 7, 2012 and April 10, 2015 or had adverse employment action taken against them based on the background reports may be eligible for up to $92.
