Instacart, a grocery-delivery service, has agreed to pay $46.5 million to resolve a suit claiming the company misclassified its shoppers (the workers who shop for and deliver groceries to customers who place orders on the company’s online platform) as independent contractors rather than employees. If you worked as an Instacart shopper in California between Sept. 13, 2015, and Dec. 15, 2020, you may be eligible for a payment.
