Mortgage lender and servicer Nationstar (now known as Mr. Cooper) agreed to a $5 million settlement to resolve a case alleging that the company sent incorrect automated clearing house (ACH) information to home loan borrowers’ bank accounts in April 2021, which resulted in overpayments and other financial repercussions. Members of the class may receive a cash payment plus reimbursement for related out-of-pocket expenses.
