Snap Finance agreed to pay $1.8 million to settle claims that the lender failed to prevent a data breach that compromised the sensitive personal information of more than 60,000 consumers. If you received a letter from Snap in December 2022 notifying you that your information may have been exposed between June 23 and Sept. 8, 2022, and you submit a valid claim, you will receive two years of free credit monitoring services and reimbursement of up to $5,000 in out-of-pocket expenses related to the data breach. All class members may also submit a claim for a cash payment. California class members may also receive a cash payment of up to $200 under the California Consumer Protection Act.
