Sony Pictures and Crunchyroll agreed to pay $16 million to settle allegations that the companies violated the Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA) by disclosing subscribers’ personally identifiable information (PII) to third parties, including Facebook, Google and Adobe. You may be eligible for payment if you were a registered user of, and viewed videos on, a Crunchyroll-owned, -controlled or -operated website, app or video-on-demand service between Sept. 8, 2020, and Sept. 20, 2023.
