TenantReports.com, a company that compiles and provides consumer background reports to landlords, agreed to pay almost $900,000 to settle allegations that the company included in the reports outdated (more than seven years old) criminal non-conviction information in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You may be eligible for a payment if you were the subject of a background report prepared by TenantReports.com between April 8, 2020, and April 9, 2023, that included information on at least one criminal non-conviction that predated the report by at least seven years.
