Consumers who initiated a money transfer with Western Union between January 1, 2001 and January 3, 2013 that was never redeemed may be eligible for a lump sum cash refund. The company initially reached a settlement over allegations of failing to timely notify consumers that the money transfers was not redeemed. The settlement was approved on June 25, 2013 but the case is now in appeals.
