Digital media company BuzzFeed agreed to pay $9 million to settle allegations that the website shared user data with Facebook in violation of the federal Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA). AMC Entertainment Holdings (undisclosed fees) »Claim deadline is/was Friday, 08 November 2024. AMC Entertainment Holdings, the largest U.S. movie theater chain, agreed to settle allegations that the company violated the New York Arts and Cultural Affairs Law by failing to properly disclose a “convenience” fee for buying movie tickets or other goods and services through the AMC website or app for use at AMC theaters in New York state. If you paid such a convenience fee between Aug. 29, 2022, and Jan. 16, 2024, you may be eligible for a $7 payment or a free one-year membership to AMC Stubs Premiere. × |

AMF Bowling Centers agreed to pay $3.18 million to settle allegations that it violated Washington state law by failing to disclose the wage scale or salary range and/or general description of benefits being offered in its job postings. If you applied for a job opening at one or more of the Washington bowling centers owned by AMF between Jan. 1, 2023, and July 25, 2024, where the job posting did not disclose the wage scale or salary range and/or provide a general description of benefits for the position, you may be eligible for payment. × |

Block and Cash App (data breach) »Claim deadline is/was Monday, 18 November 2024. Cash App, a mobile payment service, and its owner, Block, agreed to pay $15 million to settle a case alleging that the companies failed to protect customer information. If you are a current or former Cash App user whose information was accessed without consent or who experienced fraudulent account withdrawals or transfers between Aug. 23, 2018, and Aug. 20, 2024, you may be eligible for reimbursement for out-of-pocket losses, lost time, and/or transaction losses related to the breaches. × |
Numi Financial and Central National Bank (EFTA violations) »Claim deadline is/was Tuesday, 19 November 2024. Numi Financial and Central National Bank agreed to a $4 million settlement to resolve allegations that the companies violated the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA) when they forced individuals who had been arrested to receive their confiscated money, upon release from detention, on a prepaid card issued by the defendants. The defendants profited by assessing fees on the cards—fees that began incurring immediately—despite the plaintiffs never agreeing to the terms of the cardholder agreement. If you received your confiscated funds on a Numi release card after July 2014, you may be eligible for payment. ×IGK Dry Shampoo (benzene) »Claim deadline is/was Tuesday, 19 November 2024. Luxury Brand Partners, the company that markets IGK Dry Shampoo products, agreed to pay $850,000 to settle a case alleging that the products contained benzene, a known carcinogen. Clif Bar, a manufacturer of energy food and drinks, agreed to pay $12 million to settle allegations that the company made misleading and exaggerated statements about the health properties of its bars, which allegedly are unhealthy due to a high amount of added sugar. If you purchased eligible products between April 19, 2014, and March 31, 2023, in California or New York, or if you purchased the products in another U.S. state between March 31, 2019, and March 31, 2023, you may be eligible for payment. × |

Pfizer Lipitor (antitrust violations) »Claim deadline is/was Friday, 29 November 2024. Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer agreed to pay $35 million to settle allegations that it unlawfully prevented generic versions of Lipitor, a drug prescribed to lower cholesterol, off the market, resulting in buyers paying more for the medication. If you purchased Lipitor in any one of two dozen states or Washington, D.C., without the use of a Pfizer co-pay card, between June 28, 2011, and Nov. 29, 2011, or you purchased the generic atorvastatin calcium these locations between Nov. 30, 2011, and Dec. 31, 2012, you may be eligible for payment. × |
Acella (NP Thyroid false advertising) »Claim deadline is/was Saturday, 30 November 2024. Pharmaceutical maker Acella agreed to pay $41.4 million to settle allegations of false advertising related to the company’s NP Thyroid product. The lawsuit alleged that Acella falsely claimed that the thyroid drug contained a specific amount of the active ingredient; some batches of the medication allegedly contained more and others contained less. If you filled a prescription for NP Thyroid between May 12, 2018, and April 30, 2021, you may be eligible for a payment. × |
