Navient, a private student loan lender and servicer, will pay $16 million to settle claims that it failed to discharge student loans for borrowers or co-borrowers who filed for bankruptcy. If you have a Navient-owned student loan and you filed for bankruptcy on or after Oct. 17, 2005, you were required to repay your loan before filing bankruptcy, your loan discharge was approved by the bankruptcy court, and you have never reaffirmed the loan, you may be eligible for a refund of payments, a change in credit reporting for the loan, and ceased collection efforts.

You may be eligible for a payment if you purchased qualifying CVS-branded lidocaine patches, creams, spray and roll-on products labeled “maximum strength” between Dec. 11, 2017, and July 18, 2023.
