Community Education
The core of Consumer Action's educational mission is to improve financial literacy at the community level. Tailoring its community education approach, Consumer Action is able to promote informed participation in the marketplace by people of color, low income and rural consumers, recent immigrants and seniors.

Consumer Action has developed a unique, multi-pronged community education and outreach model to improve financial literacy at the community level.
- Community Outreach—AAPI Populations
Consumer Action serves the Asian-American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities with multilingual publications, financial literacy programs, stipend grants, in-language media outreach, a consumer hotline and a multilingual website.
- Network CBOs surveyed on financial literacy needs
Consumer Action surveyed the community based organizations that use its free education and training materials, in order to find out which materials and tools are most useful, and how the groups use these resources to teach financial literacy.
