Become a Consumer Action network member

Consumer Action offers two network memberships: Affiliate membership and Associate membership. As an Affiliate or Associate member, you will have the ability to access professional development content; headline news; social media content; and newsletters and timely news stories on a variety of consumer protection issues.

The membership period is from April 1 through March 31 of the following year. The membership fee is $75 per year, billed annually.

Consumer Action Affiliate and Associate member benefits include:

  • Train-the-trainer events with expert-led sessions*
  • Minimum of four professional development webinars annually
  • Six free multilingual publication orders annually for one site address
  • Opportunity to apply for free or paid admission to our National Consumer Empowerment Conference and pre-conference reception
  • Opportunity to apply to attend Consumer Lobby Day in Washington, D.C. (Affiliate member benefit)
  • Convening of members to foster peer-to-peer collaboration (Affiliate member benefit)

* Note: In-person events may not occur annually in member’s geographic region, but members have the ability to receive training materials from training events via DropBox.

Become an Affiliate member

Join NetworkConsumer Action has nearly 7,000 network affiliates. Consumer Action’s Affiliate membership is available to non-profit organizations, government entities, credit unions, cooperative extension programs, and consumer and advocacy groups.

Become an Associate member

Join NetworkConsumer Action’s Associate membership is available to small business owners, financial coaches, financial counselors, credit counselors and community educators.

Non-member fees

Starting April 1, 2019, non-members will begin paying fees for some Consumer Action resources, when ordering publications in bulk or attending webinars. The fees are minimal, but necessary for Consumer Action to keep pace with the changing economy and continue to provide communities with tools to improve consumer financial health.

Publication ordering fees:

The first six publication orders for one site are included with annual membership. Any subsequent orders will be charged as follows (non-members pay for all publication orders):

  • $15 for 1-500 copies
  • $30 for 501-1,000 copies
  • $45 for 1,001-1,500 copies

Webinar fees:

No fees for members. For non-members, the fee is $10 per person per webinar.
