華府「身分盜竊資源中心」(ITRC)2018年年底資料外洩報告顯示，駭客去年竊取包含敏感個人資料的消費者紀錄近4億4700萬筆，比2017年增加126%，並創下一年內個資遭竊最高紀錄。報告說：「資料外洩已成平常事，每天都發生。」
