消費者如今終於可免費凍結自己的信用，21日生效的一項聯邦法規定，信用凍結後，檢查信用史將受到限制，可有效阻止盜竊他人名義開新信用卡的行為。而以前的規定是凍結信用需交10元，解凍仍需交費。
