The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) hit the one million mark this week. The Bureau has received more than one million individual consumer complaints about financial products and services, the bulk of which become part of the agency’s public complaint database.

“We congratulate the CFPB for offering consumers a practical way to resolve ongoing disputes with financial service companies, and for continuing to upgrade its complaint process while empowering consumers with first-hand information that helps them make smart financial choices,” says Ruth Susswein, deputy director of national priorities at Consumer Action.

Consumers can submit a complaint to the CFPB at http://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/ or by calling (855) 411-2372.
